Portugal!

Portugal has been a blast! The main reason why the team is in Portugal is because our main sponsor is Sagres which is a Portuguese beer and they wanted to meet the team since they did such a good job last season. It was kind of a rough transition because I only had a couple of days in Neuchatel to get acquainted and then we had to wake up super early to catch our six o'clock flight. We finally landed in Portugal and I could already tell it was going to be a really pretty city. The first thing on our agenda was to visit the Sagres beer factory. It was really interesting because we were told how they make the beers and then got to see how the packaged it. It is a really large plant and they make over 200 litters of beer per day! Afterwards we were able to taste some of the beer which i enjoyed! They even gave us our own Sagres beer glass! We came back to the hotel just for a bit and then decided to head to the city. It was a beautiful day and we all had fun walking around enjoying the shops. Then we went and had dinner at a local brewery which was delicious. I had steak and fries and of course they served us some more Sagres beer. The whole team headed out on the town after dinner and we all enjoyed dancing. The really interesting thing is that all the Swiss players love American music! It was nice to hear music that I could understand and that I also knew! It was a super long day but a every eventful one! Here are some photos throughout the day!

This is where they actually fill the beer

We visited another factory today that just had fruit juices and water. I hope to blog about that tomorrow!
